10-15-2011 Clean-up & History Reclamation

Oct 9, 2011 by

At our first clean-up event, we helped reclaim the park’s concert stage, which was used from 1937 until at least the 1970’s. We hope it will be used again…

At our second clean-up, we will reclaim another piece of the park’s history!  We will meet at the entrance at 3rd & West Streets. Help us clean up trails, work on two projects, and learn a little about the park’s history and nature!

Bring gloves and pruners if you have them.  We still have some gloves and trash bags graciously donated by CRC Watersheds Association for our first clean-up!

Saturday, October 15
9:00-11:00 am
3rd & West Streets

Rain date:
Sunday, October 16
9:00-11:00 am
If weather is questionable on Saturday morning, we will post on facebook by 8:30 am whether we will use the rain date.

Yes, thank you for asking! We are working on funding for some stream side plantings near the pond: to control erosion, beautify the park, and feed wildlife. We haven’t set a time yet- we will plan according to how much we have to plant! Of course people can also clean up as well. The date is Sunday April 22.
