Save the date for the second of four performances in our 2023 Arts in the Park — “The Johns” on July 15 — New and Used Vintage Blues!
Rain date Sunday, July 16*
Free & family-friendly
“The Johns” pairs seasoned acoustic blues guitarist and singer (and Media resident!) Johnny Never with veteran harmonica performer John Colgan-Davis of the Dukes of Destiny. Johnny and John offer blues enthusiasts “an acoustic blues duo reminiscent of Carey and Lurie or Sonny Terry and Brownie McGhee,” says Jamey Riley, of Jamey’s House of Music fame. Their latest album, Blue Delta, has gotten rave reviews and radio play all around the world.
Bring a blanket or chair, and relax on the lawn by the historical stage for a late afternoon concert. After the performance, head into Media for dinner and shopping, just two blocks away on State Street!
Thank you to our concert sponsors, State Street Pub, Media Recreation Board, and to Delaware County Parks & Recreation. Additionally, Arts in the Park is made possible by funding from Program Stream, a grant initiative of the Pennsylvania Council on the Arts that is regionally administered by the Greater Philadelphia Cultural Alliance.
*If the weather is questionable, we will post on Facebook and on our website by 2:00 Saturday whether we will use our Sunday rain date.
