National Public Lands Day plantings & maintenance [email registration required]
550 West State Street
Rain date Sunday, October 3. Meet at the park’s main entrance: 550 West State Street on Google Maps.
Registration by email is required. Please RSVP to FriendsoftheGlen [at] gmail [dot] com. Covid protocols will be followed.
For National Public Lands Day, Friends of Glen Providence Park will work on maintenance of the more than 200 native trees and shrubs we have planted since 2012, and plant additional native trees and shrubs in the glen. This is our 10th year of planting projects, working to improve wildlife habitat, reduce erosion, and beautify the park!
Our planting day is one of our most popular and fun events! We are incredibly grateful to Delaware County Parks & Recreation for providing funds for this project, and to the Delaware County Conservation District for the use of its Conservation Planting Trailer and supplies.
