Where does a Salamander spend the winter? What’s living in a fallen tree trunk?

Join us for our first walk of the new year with Horticulturist Samantha Nestory as we explore the winter woods and search for evidence of insects in their winter homes, wildlife hiding in plain sight, and signs of the coming growth of spring. Sam received a Bachelor of Science in Ecology and a Master of Science in Entomology from the University of Delaware. She now assists in the design, installation, and maintenance of both the garden landscapes and natural areas at Stoneleigh: A Natural Garden in Villanova, PA.

Logistics:

  • Meet at the Main Entrance – 525 West State Street, Media, PA (on Google Maps)
  • Free & family-friendly!
  • Estimated distance: 1-1.5 miles
